about

These two songs hold more value to me than any songs I've ever written. To me they're about growing up and moving on. But they're also about, standing up for what you believe in, not letting your morals get corrupted as the world grows colder into adulthood, and remembering that punk is a mindset of individuality; not a club and not a political party.

"Punk's Not Dead. It's Just In Love With A Sellout" is, as the name would suggest, a love song from a more cynical perspective about a girl I spent time with in my younger days. This was around the time when I was in a very confusing part of growing up and figuring out who I was, and where my life was going. In the process, I slowly found the 'punk rocker' in me fading away, as did the time I spent with this girl.

I wrote "Paging Mr. White..." one night in a spur of the moment act, after reminiscing about past bands and projects of mine and the pursuit of being a freely outspoken, loving and caring musician for a 'living'. That has since changed and that caring side of me seems to be missing. This song is me trying to talk to him.
